The Celtic Pig’s Executive Chef is Melissa Ingram. She has been the Executive Chef at the University of Louisville since 2010. The Celtic Pig is the fulfillment of Melissa’s long-held desire to run a gourmet food truck. Melissa has worked in food service for almost 30 years! At 14, she lied about her age to get a job baking cookies at The Great American Chocolate Chip Cookie Company in Carbondale, Illinois. From there she moved to Charleston, South Carolina where she worked as a front-of- house manager and cake baker and decorator before starting her own full service catering business called Weddings and Catered Innovations. In 1997, she moved to Evansville, Indiana where she served as Director of Catering at The Executive Inn. From there, she went to the University of Evansville as the Director of Catering and Retail Operations.

In 2002, Chef Ingram traveled to Milpitas, California where she worked as Director of Catering at The Embassy Suites Hotel and later as Food and Beverage Director at Twin Creeks Sports Complex in Sunnyvale, California. In 2006, she graduated from Le Cordon Bleu Culinary Program at the California Culinary Academy in San Francisco, California after completing an externship in New South Wales, Australia.

Upon her return to the United States, Melissa worked for Guckenheimer Enterprises as a Chef and General Manager at their Pacific Shores Café in Redwood City, California. After that, she worked briefly as a General Manager for Tumbleweed Restaurants before accepting her current position at the University of Louisville.
